Fatal Rail accident in Nigeria

Railway Station, Osogbo - Osun State

A fatal railway accident has been reported in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria at about 18:30 hours of Sunday.

According to eyewitness, the 14-coach train had just taken off from the Osogbo station when the ugly incident occur.

Eyewitnesses recount that the last 5 coaches of the train had broken off on a hill, causing a speedy reverse to the station it took off from.

Sadly, the last cargo coach derailed and swerved into the building by the railway, causing severe damage to properties.

Although, eyewitnesses recalled that the affected coaches had fewer people, as at the time of filing this report, authorities were yet to release details of casualties recorded.
